Autism Spectrum Evaluations (Children, Adolescents, and Adults)
At Long Island Neuropsychological Services, we provide comprehensive evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across the lifespan—from early childhood through adulthood. Our assessments are conducted by doctoral-level, board-certified neuropsychologists with specialized training in neurodevelopmental and neuropsychological assessment.
Each evaluation is tailored to the individual’s age, developmental history, and presenting concerns. We integrate multiple sources of information—including clinical interview, developmental and educational history, direct behavioral observation, collateral input from family or teachers, and standardized measures such as the ADOS-2 and adaptive functioning assessments. This comprehensive approach ensures accurate, evidence-based diagnosis and meaningful recommendations.
Our goal is to help individuals and families understand strengths, challenges, and next steps—whether that means identifying autism for the first time, clarifying a prior diagnosis, or distinguishing ASD from other conditions that affect communication, attention, or social functioning.
